Little has been heard from the mighty Choronzon since ///Consummation//\\Metanoia\\\, their last full-length which was released in 2012. We've threaded thee Wyrm through services and systems and those who hath understanding could reckon the end of the slumber of the Beast...
Here's what will make your season chaotically festive:

From before and outside time as pure potential, manifest beneath and througout every phenomenon of existence and the medium that only through which any action being is possible. What is encoded within these sounds is hidden from those who have no direct experience in working the current of chaos, but for the initiated, the keys to the mysteries are extended with a generous proffering hand. With Arcanum Ab Chao, Baleyyg and Choronzon come together to open up a sonic space that clears away the veneer of control to show the chaos of destruction and creation hid within. Fans of Choronzon will remember the arcane and intense material Baleyyg contributed to the 2012 Choronzon release ///Consummation//\\ Metanoia\\\.

"For this split-release with Choronzon we have provided 1 monolithic track, 35 minutes in length, titled 'Stemmeløse'." states Baleyyg, "The translation of this word from Norwegian into English means 'Voiceless'. We have never attempted to define or render any sort of explanation of the sonic narratives within Baleyyg material. The inner-secret to the experience is to let oneself follow the sound-art where it shall lead, one shall know when the portals open and are 'activated' when the many other layers and hidden elements within the track come into "view" as one experiences it."

"We have done very few split releases through the years", says Choronzon chaote P. Emerson williams, "but when we do we see it as a way of combining with artists to create a work that in total is more than a sum of its parts. Arcanum Ab Chao continues this practice and takes it further."

Back in September we brought out Revelations Of Power, one new track, one cryptovox call from across the Abyss and an instrumental teaser from a monumental future Choronzon release.
Revelations Of Power is a transmission from the depths of the Abyss, in the form of a storm of cryptovox, organic sounds and techno-filtration. Herein is a holographic encapsulation of the 333 hypersigil as manifest thus far and what is to be added in future.

Lastly, we obtained a newly digitized set of Choronzon's untitled 1996 demo that was later released on CD as "333". Lovingly ripped by a fan and we decided a couple new tracks should be added to the PANICMACHINE version. We are proud to bring you 333 (Carnage Of Thought Edition!

In this edition listeners get to hear these tracks as only those who had the original 1996 tapes have heard it. Hear Choronzon bringing the electronic invocations at a time when such experiments were extremely rare.

A Lord of Chaos, Choronzon (whose cabalistic number is 333), has been following me around for a while, ever since I summoned him forth, in the shadow state between dreams and waking. It’s disturbing when something from the land of Morpheus breaks through, and you get a tape from a local band that has named itself (coincidently, of course) after the very demon who has been wreaking havoc in your life. Choronzon (the band) is P. Emerson Williams, also of Veil of Thorns, and he obviously knows the occult arts. I’m assuming he’s a Thelemite, because one of the songs is called “Perdurabo”, a pseudonym of Aleister Crowley’s. 

In any case, the music is HEAVY. thick, dark and raging. The songs are a caustic liquid, dripping from my speakers like rivers of fire, howling and shrieking in anger and torment. Drum beats loop on top of one another, twisting themselves into a rope that the music can climb on (although I’m looking forward to when Williams gets a live drummer(s), because for all the creative intricacies in the music, the rhythms are too mechanical at times). 

Dense guitar crunch permeates the album, throwing a few technical metal riffs, and the vocals seem to have been ripped from the throat of 333 himself. 

If you want to delve into the world of unconscious terror, or think that you’ve heard the deepest and heaviest metal has gotten, get this tape. But be prepared for little “accidents” to follow you around for a while.

We are pleased to bring to you PARA-ABNORMAL, the latest from Veil of Thorns as CD and download, as well as the original art by P. Emerson Williams that was created for this release.

2013 sees the release of the 13th Veil of Thorns album titled Para-Abnormal. Fans of the retro-futuristic Cognitive Dissonance and the tribal gothic fever dreams of the twin albums Necrofuturist and Salon Apocalypse will welcome the way Para-Abnormal synthesizes these disparate threads of Veil of Thorns art. This is post-punk with a defiant heart, its world decidedly dystopian but the souls dwelling hterein face this world undaunted. Cold camera eyes are on every inch, infrastructure collapsing, but the survivors are having a party in the ruins.  

The solidity and assuredness of the drums supplied by James Curcio (Hoodoo Engine, Babalon, subQtaneous) and P. Emerson Williams coaxed many strange sounds from an electric-acoustic 12 string guitar. The process of writing on Para-Abnormal was a very spontaneous one, with grooves inspiring syncopated guitar parts and lyrics the cut-up impressions of a world gone mad as any creation reflecting the current state of human affairs would have to be.  

Veil of thorns started in Boston in the late -80’s, when the number of Goth bands in town could be counted on one hand. Stark, angular post-punk songs give way to spare jazz-inflected tone poems that lead back into sanguine deathrock dust storms. Throughout the -90's Veil of Thorns gigged extensively in New England with a few revolving spots in the lineup. In the period between -94 and -98 they played on bills such bands as Cruxshadows, Judith and This Ascention. Many of the gigs included guest players and extensive improvisation.

Of his madness many things are told. I, P. Emerson Williams, Ferenc Teglas and Aidan McGoran marauded mythic R'lly'yeh, or City of Pillocks, and to have found beneath the ruins of a certain nameless desert town the shocking annals and secrets of a race of atomic supermen older than humankind. They were only different Gothramaritans, worshipping unknown entities whom they called flogsogoth and necro cryptu.  

As i stood here below, methought their eyes were four full moons: Ferenc Teglas and Aidan McGoran had a thousand noses; horns whelked and wavèd like the enridgèd sea: they were a pair of fiends. And I summoned again to stand before me Ferenc Teglas and Aidan McGoran, the burning idols of demons, and I sat them down on raised seats of honour, and said to them: "why art thou agog, Emperor ov Sonic Electronic Golems and Supreme Overlord ov Git-Fiddles of the necrofuturist veil of thorns?" and they said unto me: "because we alone are the great serpents that came down. for i was first angel in the first heaven" said one, being entitled Ferenczebub. "and I now control all who are bound in the GOTHRONOMICON being titled Aidancifer" said t'other. . .

About thee artist:
In his last years, Williams dwelt in Damask silk, where the Gothronomicon (O Az-If) was written. 

In art, in the Dictionnaire Infernal, P. Emerson Williams is depicted as a crude man with dragon-like wings, hands and feet, a second pair of feathered wings after the main, wearing a crown, holding a serpent in one hand, and riding a wolf or hog. 

The "good" P. Emerson in recent use is largely a literary device (e.g., Maxwell's P. Emerson), though references to good P. Emersons can be found in Hesiod and Shakespeare. In common language, to "P. Emersonize" a person means to characterize or portray them as evil, or as the source of evil.

ERA VULGARIS remains one of the most notorious of all CHORONZON albums. The natural successor to MAGOG AGOG, their debut (we have the last remaining copies...), with a palpable alien presence throughout that snapped some necks at the time. Thee hallz ov blackmetal at the time were not fortified to handle the vibrations of this futuristic black industrial assault, but the few, the brave sought out its sounds. But even fewer heard all the tracks from the sessions for ERA VULGARIS, some of which were released in an exceedingly rare CD as LARVAE. Copies of ERA VULGARIS go for $40.00 or more, copies of LARVAE are closely guarded and held on to as are copies of the special 2xCD + book edition of PANIC PANDEMIC.

This evening we are adding the track for disc two of this the ERA VULGARIS KALI YUGA EDITION to our digital store and have opened up for pre-sales. The idea of the radio show Kicks was born early 1989 when Radio Centraal expanded their broadcast schedule from 3 days each week to a whole week. Of course this expansion meant that they were looking for new shows to fill this on air time. Peggy and Bruno moved to Antwerp in 1988 and were already fans of this radio station and had been involved in other musical activities before, mostly as dj’s. So it was an obvious choice for them to express their love for all underground music by creating a weekly radio show. Since Peggy and Bruno get most of their kicks by searching for and listening to the diversity of underground music they decided this would be an excellent name for their quest. On a late Friday afternoon in May 1989 Kicks made it’s appearance on the airwaves in Antwerp. After a short while their time slot changed from 1 to 2 hours weekly. After a year it was impossible for Peggy and Bruno to combine this time slot on Friday with their daily activities so Kicks moved to Wednesday from 20:30h to 22:30h CET.

Hive Mind Drones bring the sound of at the minimum mass hysteria to their mix, of not something more harrowing and sinister. On the final Drone Mix, Solar Sound System got abrasively meditative on the track...

The Los Angeles scene has been the cornerstone of power noise in the United States, and part of the next generation of its noize-makers is DJ [Daemon] Chadeau. Based out of Long Beach, CA he got his start out in Las Vegas as a deathrock DJ and then evolved through the scene as a promoter, DJ, and musician in Vegas, LA., and San Francisco. 

Daemon has spun at some of Southern California’s premier industrial clubs such as Das Bunker, Klub Terminal, Hell, Infirmary, Fantom Opera, and Eternal to name a few. However, he is best known as a DJ in the virtual world of Second Life. For three years, he became one of the most popular and controversial DJs in the virtual Industrial/EBM scene spinning at some of SL’s largest clubs and even at some of official Linden Lab events Second Life 6th & 7th Birthdays. He was most known for bringing the Los Angeles Power Noise Movement into Second Life and for propelling that genre into the mainstream. Recently retired from the virtual world scene, he comes to Radio Black Light every Thursday night from 7-10pm Pacific Time! 

In addition to spinning, DJ [Daemon] Chadeau is also the creative mind behind MoonSlave Radio, LLC recording artist Pixelpussy. He released the project’s debut record “This Is Meower Noise” in June 2010 as an unexpected and welcome surprise onto the noise scene and with remixes from Electronic Substance Abuse (ESA), code 000, nlinear, Bioassay, and Jeremiah Saint.has been played by well known DJs such as The Operative and Franck H-Bomb of Das Bunker fame. Pixelpussy was also featured as a remixer on fellow MoonSlave recording artist code 000’s debut release “Secret Societies” and is also working on the second release as well as booking and performing live shows around Southern California.

Kicks is a weekly radio show on Radio Centraal in Antwerp, Belgium. In every episode, you get two hours of great variation brought to you your charming and knowledgeable hosts.

The idea of the radio show Kicks was born early 1989 when Radio Centraal expanded their broadcast schedule from 3 days each week to a whole week. Of course this expansion meant that they were looking for new shows to fill this on air time. Peggy and Bruno moved to Antwerp in 1988 and were already fans of this radio station and had been involved in other musical activities before, mostly as dj’s. So it was an obvious choice for them to express their love for all underground music by creating a weekly radio show. Since Peggy and Bruno get most of their kicks by searching for and listening to the diversity of underground music they decided this would be an excellent name for their quest. On a late Friday afternoon in May 1989 Kicks made it’s appearance on the airwaves in Antwerp. After a short while their time slot changed from 1 to 2 hours weekly. After a year it was impossible for Peggy and Bruno to combine this time slot on Friday with their daily activities so Kicks moved to Wednesday from 20:30h to 22:30h CET.

With FIAT NOX CHORONZON have scaled back the electronics and loops on to where guitars and vocals carry the pieces, except where cellos take over on one piece. Very stripped down, no fx on the guitars. The results are no less of a demonic vortex for this sharpening of focus.  

Lyrically, the album centers around pivotal moments. The moment when an empire is in a freefall, the point of evocation when the entity is undoubtedly and fearsomely manifest, when one is on the path and there can be no going back. In the Abyss there is no time, nor space. The only way out is through and the only way to emerge is to leave yourself there. The biggest crimes are committed with the help of armies and authorities, so freedom has to be declared by the night.
