Veil of Thorns fans will recognize this image from the cover of their 2002 album Birthed. The period in which this drawing was created was one of visual exploration that matches the sonic exploration found on Birthed.


His own form of hypnagogic surrealism is in evidence in more developed form and the line growing more confident. This is about motion and structure as much as it is imagery. Each aspect informs the other.
